Simple multi-stage underground inclinometer K-Tai
Simple multi-stage inclinometer for monitoring soil behavior deep underground.
We have developed a simple multi-stage underground inclinometer "K-Tai" that monitors the behavior of soil and sediment deep underground, as opposed to conventional surface slope monitoring. It is designed to be installed quickly by a small team to prevent secondary disasters during sediment disaster recovery operations. When combined with the bidirectional remote automatic monitoring system "Observation King," it is possible to rapidly establish an automatic monitoring system for slopes. This is a joint development with the University of Tokyo, and we are currently conducting demonstration experiments.
